Noise Criteria
Ocean Conservation Research has been developing an exposure metric. that is based on naturally occurring noise levels and biological responses to specific sounds. We hope that this metric will inform discussions about exposure and mitigation levels, and be a useful tool in establishing Ocean Noise Criteria – guidelines for establishing sustainable practices in our use of the ocean acoustic environment.
